Thomas Flynn Obituary

THOMAS LAWRENCE FLYNN
SOUTH CAROLINA - Thomas Lawrence Flynn, husband of Mary Elizabeth Flynn, of Seabrook Island, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on December 31, 2008.
Mr. Flynn was born June 29, 1936, in Ithaca, NY, a son of Lawrence S. Flynn and Pauline Madden Flynn. He received his Master's Degree in Engineering from Kings Point Academy and worked for the General Electric Co. in power generation. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, the Seabrook Island Town Council, a Past President of the Seabrook Island Property Owners Association, a member of the Professional Engineers Associations, a member of the Seabrook Island Exchange Club, was an avid golfer and volunteered his time for many different organizations.
Mr. Flynn is survived by his wife, Mary E. Flynn; his children: Kelly Flynn Palmonka and her husband, George; Thomas L. Flynn II and his wife, Carma; Patrick M. Flynn and his wife, Maria and John B. Flynn; his six grandchildren: Sarah, Bryan, Samuel, Andrew, Ella and Nora. He is also survived by his sister, Maureen F. Andrews; his brother, Michael Flynn, aunt Gerry (Russ) Patterson of Brooktondale and many nieces, nephews and cousins. We have so many memories going back to grade school. Since then, we have spent may memorable ski trips, summer vacations with Tom and his family. He was there for us during good and bad times, too.
