I will always remember Victor as my hero since I was about 6 years old. Although our contact was limited, he always treated me very well and I really admired him. It's another loss to society. My sincere sympathies to the Capalongo family and friends.

I am very sorry to hear about Vic. I was a long time friend of Vic's and will miss him very much. Vic had a way about himself to others. He and my mother were best of friends. I could always look forward to seeing him every other week at the Candor American Legion. He would stop over and we would have a couple of cold ones together and laugh about things that I will never forget. Vic and his riding buddy(Butch) would come together and stay for awhile. He was a man of his word for what ever he said to you. Sometimes I would even stop at 221 to see Vic on my off weekend not seeing him. I will deeply miss the man. I give my regrets and empty feeling inside for a great person who I always looked up to. I will miss him.

Vic was a good friend that will be sorely missed. We will remember Vic as a hugh Syracuse Big Orange fan and for his love of a good game of euchre. He was a tough guy who fought a brave battle right up until the end. May he rest in peace and may God Bless Vic and his entire family.

I am most grateful for the time that I have gotten in the last few months to see Victor more often. Victor has always made me smile. I am almost certain that when Victor arrived in the heavens above my grandfather had already found the perfect fishing holes to fish & had mapped out what path they would take to get their morning walk in. They can now look down upon us and keep us safe. Victor will be missed. My thoughts are with your family at this difficult time.

To Vic’s family,

Sue and I want to express our deepest and most sincere sympathies. Vic was not only a close cousin but also a good friend not only to us but to a great many other people throughout the Ithaca area. He was also a person we admired greatly because he was a war hero who was wounded while serving his country. He will be missed by all who knew him. Take some comfort that after a long and difficult illness he is now resting in peace and know that out thoughts and prayers are with him and all of you.

Sincerely,
Sue and Ray Bordoni
