William Beylo Obituary

WILLIAM BEYLO JR.
SPENCER - William Beylo, Jr., of Spencer, NY, and Montverde, FL, passed away during the early morning of June 26, 2007. Bill was born May 11, 1924, the son of William and Anna Ilko Beylo in Binghamton, NY. He was a graduate of Binghamton Central High School. During WWII, he served in the U.S. Navy as a First Class Electrician's Mate in the Pacific Theatre. He then worked for Macintosh Labs (Binghamton) and General Electric (Westover). He worked at IBM (Owego) for 25 years, retiring in 1984 from the position of Senior Electronic Lab Specialist. He studied electrical technology at Broome Community College.
Bill was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Mona Welch, Binghamton; his second wife, Dorothy Wise Carr, Spencer; a son, William Curtis Beylo, Owego; a daughter, Lynn Marie Collins (David), Jeffersonville, IN; and brothers, Michael, Johnson City, John, Endicott, and Peter and Andrew, both of Binghamton.
His survivors include daughter, Patricia (Wayne Kishpaugh), Spencer; grandsons, Jacob, Spencer, and Matthew, Albany, NY; son, James (Maria) and step great-granddaughter, Tralene, Watkins Glen; daughter, Kathleen (Steve Russell), Port Charlotte, FL; and son, Laurence (Deborah); grandchildren, Adam, Olivia, Pearl, and Luke, Endicott; stepson, Jack Carr (Julie), Cortland; step granddaughters, Sarah, West Palm Beach, FL, and Susannah, Cortland; stepson, Jerry Carr (Patricia), Spencer, and step grandchildren, Jennifer Retel (Michael), Chandler, AZ, and Justin and Jordan, Spencer. Also surviving are Bill's siblings, Helen Beylo, Frank Beylo (Delores), and Annabelle Morgan (Jerry), all of Florida; sister-in-law, Jeanette Wise Oshier, Spencer; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was a member of the Masonic Temple and the Spencer chapter of the Order of Eastern Stars, where he served as worthy Patron. A former parishioner at St. Patrick's Church in Owego, more recently he was a member of the Spencer Federated Church. He was a loving and caring individual who gave of his time to assist others. His special joys were traveling with his wife, Dottie, sharing time with his grandchildren and bowling.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Spencer Federated Church, 70 North Main Street, Spencer, NY, this Saturday, June 30, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. Those attending will be invited to share personal memories of Bill. Calling hours will begin at 9:30 a.m., also at the church. The Spencer Federated Church will host a luncheon for all after the service, about noon.
Private graveside services in South Butler, NY, will be held at a future date. At Bill's request, remembrances are kindly directed to the Spencer Federated Church and the North Spencer Christian Academy.
