Laura Miravalle Obituary

Laura Lizbeth (Lee) Miravalle- 63- What could you say about this wonderful woman? This loving and sometimes quirky wife, mother, grandmother and sister? Well for starters you could say that she graced this world on August 12, 1951, being born to Bernard and Vera Lee (deceased) of Hutchinson. She lived in Kansas the majority of her 63 years having only a brief adventure in Colorado before returning home to live out the rest of her life in this beautiful state.

You could go on to say she was an incredibly dedicated wife and mother to her family, which includes her husband Floyd Lewis Miravalle, son Jason Lee Miravalle, and daughter Amber Nicole Miravalle. She was a loving sister to her brother Virgil Lee and sister-in-law Ruby Kay Lee. Laura is additionally survived by her six grandchildren; four fur-babies; and one ornery African Grey Parrot (who she adamantly refused to allow anyone to teach "Polly wanna cracker" to), as well as many friends and extended family members who she also cherished.

You could certainly say that she gave Colonel Sanders a good run for his money with her fried chicken, was an incredibly talented artist and was one of the hardest working women you'd ever meet, which her family always had such admiration for. She was also a lover of family trips, Native American Culture, muscle cars, music of all kinds, NASCAR, Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Para normal films and TV shows, nature, horseback riding, the color yellow and the phrase, "Wow! That's clear off!" She played a mean game of Yahtzee and was rarely bested (even now we aren't so sure she didn't just let us win.).

You could also say that she was the type of woman many would aspire to be like or have in their lives. The great amount of kindness, patience, and acceptance she radiated were as much a part of her being as her eye and hair color were.

Of all of the things that could be said about this amazing woman, the one thing that absolutely WILLbe said is that she will truly be missed by all who were lucky enough to call her a loved one, a friend, or often times both.

Laura was baptized on May 15th, 2015. Shortly thereafter, on May 22nd 2015, she went on to the next chapter of her story, passing from pancreatic cancer. Her family will be having a private Celebration of Life at a later date. We feel that the best way for anyone to carry on her memory is to, every so often, say a kind word or do a thoughtful act for another. She loved that kind of thing! Petersen Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

I miss my wife, with all of my being. The sound of her laughter, her smile when she told me she loves me,with a kiss on my forehead as if I was her child. I don't know what I am doing to do without her in my life? I think of her every day all day. After 31years of marriage and having her in my life was the best thing that ever happened to me. She's in my heart and memories forever.

I was the cashier at the pharmacy where Laura picked up their prescriptions and loved seeing her come and loved the conversations we would have. After I retired and left the store, I saw her one day in the store and she greeted me very warmly with a big hug and repeatedly told me how she had wished she would run into me at some point. She was always very genuine and open with her thoughts and feelings...she will be missed and thought of often.
