Brian McWaters Obituary

LANCASTER, S.C. - Mr. Brian Walker McWaters, age 60, passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025.
He was born May 27, 1964, in Lancaster, a son of the late James "Jimmy" Claude McWaters and the late Elaine DeWeese McWaters.
Mr. McWaters enjoyed being at the river, reading, watching NASCAR, and listening to 70's and 80's Classic Rock. He has always been a hard worker and loved doing mechanic work.
Mr. McWaters is survived by his son, Brandon McWaters; his two brothers, Jim C. McWaters (Shannon), and Scott M. McWaters (Telisa); his nieces and nephew, Millie McWaters, Sarah McWaters, DeLaney Jamison McWaters, and Andrew James McWaters; and many special family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his maternal grandmother, Bernice Mackey; his paternal grandmother, Mildred C. McWaters; and the mother of his son, Sherry Anderson McWaters.
The family of Mr. McWaters will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Burgess Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Lancaster SPCA of South Carolina, P.O. Box 3042, Lancaster, SC 29721.
