Mr. Mac was one of my 9th grade teachers- I graduated in 1983. I have never forgotten him and the way he was so passionate about teaching. You could tell he loved science and wanted us to love it too. He taught me to think critically and to pay attention to detail, both skills that have served me well in my long healthcare career. I am saddened for your loss. May God bless you all during this time of sorrow.

Mr. McMullen was my physical science teacher when I was in ninth grade. He was the most intelligent man I had ever met. He was tough but he was fair and one of the teachers I never forgot. My condolences to his family and friends.

I taught with James in the Lancaster School District. He was a gentleman. He always had a kind word for his students and faculty. We will miss him.

To Michelle and the rest of the family --
I was so sad to hear read this morning of Mr. Mac's passing. It is so easy for me to close my eyes and see him at the front of our 9th grade class -- showing his passion for teaching and maybe a little lack of patience with those not interested in learning. He taught me at least as much about enjoying the things you find interesting as he did about science -- and that was a wonderful lesson.
Take time this week to store the best memories of this good man. The smiles the will bring will last far longer than the tears. Know he has many grateful fans all over the place.
Prayers for comfort and peace

Mr. Mac was my science teacher at Barr Street (Campus 2). He had the patience of a saint especially since we used sharp objects for dissection of earthworms and frogs as well as fire from burners for chemical reactions! When tests were given, he would stand in front of the windows seemingly to be watching what was going on, his glasses on hand but he was actually watching us and catching the ones who turned the test into a group project! He never embarrassed any of his students either by calling them out when caught. He was one of the best teachers and finest men I have known in my 59 years in Lancaster. Mr, Mac will be missed but I know he is rejoicing in Heaven!

To the family of Mr James McMullen: Mr McMullen was truly a dear friend of our family. Our parents and family thought so much of him. He was so kind and had such a personable way about himself- truly a man of God. He and his wife taught some of us in school. The services he rendered to us during the passing of our parents will never be forgotten. He instilled that same personable trait in his nephew William at McMullen's funeral home. To the family we pray that God will continue to bless you. We extend our condolences and sympathy to you. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
Prayers and blessings,

Uncle Lad and Aunt Marv attended my college graduation and also my island wedding moon in St. Lucia. Both of them together made every special occasion in my life. Seeing them together is the epitome of black love and successful living. All of my entire life, I had my parents and Uncle Lad and Aunt Marv give me GODLY like examples of how to live. He meant so much to so many people and he will be missed by many including me. I'm grateful he is with my parents in Heaven. God blessed us with Uncle Lad! We will continue to pray for my Aunt and the family.
