Ronald Jerrel Hunt

1948 - 2025

LANCASTER, S.C. - Mr. Ronald Jerrel Hunt, age 77, passed away Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025.
He was born Feb. 26, 1948, a son of the late Frank Hunt and the late Bleeka Mills Hunt.
Ronald treasured the time he spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like vacationing in the mountains and listening to music while sitting outdoors. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness and loving spirit will be deeply missed by many.
Ronald is survived by his daughter, Lisa Hancock (Jody) of Mount Croghan, S.C.; his son, Rickey Hunt of Lancaster S.C.; his granddaughter, Jaime Marshall (Anthony) of Kershaw, S.C.; his grandson, Chandler Long of Abilene, TX; five great-grandchildren, Braydon Hunt, Eliajah Hough, Alexis Hough, Abel Marshall, and Madisyn Marshall; his sisters, Mary Ann Medlin (Ronnie) of Marshville, N.C., and Wanda Pataky (Robbey) of Kannapolis, N.C.; his brother, Bronson Hunt of Rock Hill, S.C.; his sister-in-law, Nada Hunt of Marshville, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Hunt; his son, Jamie Hunt; his parents, Frank and Bleeka Hunt; his sister, Brenda Hunt, and his brothers, Randy Hunt and Frankie Hunt.
The Celebration of Life Service for Ronald will be 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Patrick Blackmon. Burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m., one hour prior to service, in the Family Life Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Agape Care South Carolina at 311-B North Main St., Lancaster, SC 29720.
