Sammie Reid Obituary
He was a son of the late Thomas J. Reid and Elizabeth Montgomery Reid. He was married to Sallye Faye Hughes Reid.
Survivors include his wife of Lancaster; two sons, Dennis Calvert Hughes and Sammie Lewis Reid II, both of Lancaster; two daughters, Takanesia Stevenson and Chamere Chantae Moore, both of Lancaster; one brother, Willie Lenard Reid of Lancaster; one sister, Mary Johnson of Lancaster; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Crawford Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Kenneth Cauthen, with burial in I.C. Clinton Memorial Cemetery.
Viewing is 1 to 7 p.m. today, Oct. 7, at Crawford Funeral Home.
