Alva Dean "Gabby" Elliott, age 89, of Clarksville, TN, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at University Hospital, in Augusta, GA.
Gabby was born March 15, 1927, in Adams, TN, to the late Edwin Elliott and Margarette Foust Elliott. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jerlene Elliott.
Mr. Elliott was a retired manager, with AT&T. He was a US Air Force veteran. Gabby was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 11, at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Dr. Felts Dent officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 10, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, and Saturday, March 11, from 12:00 PM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.
Gabby is survived by his son, Dr. Jeffrey (Debra) Elliott of Daphne, AL; daughter, Dr. Nancy (David) Young of Augusta, GA; and four grandchildren, Laurie Elizabeth Elliott, Rebekah Lynne (Joshua) McCoy, Jefferson Whitfield (Chelsea) Morgan, and Tara Danielle Morgan.
