Bobby Lee Holmes age 61 of Clarksville passed away on Thursday October 6, 2016 at Spring Meadows Healthcare Center in Clarksville. He was born May 14, 1955 in Clarksville, the son of the late Jesse Marshall and Margie Wilson Holmes. Bobby worked for many years as a car detailer. He is survived by his son Bobby L. Holmes Jr. of Clarksville; brothers James (Venita) Holmes, Jesse Hunt, and Robert Wayne(LaTanya) Hunt all of Clarksville; sisters Brenda (Carl) Ligon; Karen (George) Hoosier; Beverly (Edward)Minor; Alma Faye (Carlos) Cartwright all of Clarksville. Memorial Services will be conducted on Wednesday October 12, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Gateway Funeral Home and Cremation Center 335 Franklin Street Clarksville, TN 37040. Phone 931-919-2600. Online condolences may be made by going to www.gatewayfh.com. Contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses.

My sincere condolence to the family of Bobby Lee Holmes. We lived on Parham Dr. during the same time... many, many years ago as kids. At that time we called him "Fuzzy Lee". When we reconnected as adults, in the recent years, we would laugh about me remembering that nickname. It was always a please to see Fuzzy Lee because I know I was in for a good laugh. He was always smiling and laughing. Bobby will certainly be missed. I pray that God will give peace to his family and friends. Rest in peace Bobby.

Bobby was my sister's (Kaye) classmate. Each encounter we had was always a pleasant one. As I look at his photo, I find it amazing how little he has changed. My sincere sympathy is extended to each family member and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
