Bonnie Chester Obituary
Clarksville - Bonnie Morrow Chester, 74, of Clarksville, TN, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Tennova Healthcare after a short illness. Bonnie was born on June 21, 1944, in Henrietta, TN, daughter of the late Lonnie and Blanche Thomas Morrow. She was also preceded in death by her twin brother Donnie, other brothers Thomas, Clyde, and Ernest; sisters Louise Scott, and Fannie Mae Scott.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Edward Wayne, one son, James Edward Chester, granddaughter Skylar Judith Chester and grandson, Gage Dean Chester. She is also survived by brother Carl, sisters Mary Lou Dyce, Shirley Jarman, Marie Wilbanks, and Annie Doris Kinsler, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bonnie graduated from Clarksville High School, attended APSU, and was, before retirement, a long-time employee of Clarksville-Montgomery County School System as a bookkeeper. She was an avid seamstress and delighted in making doll clothes and decorative quilts. Early on, she loved hiking trails with her husband, and later, gardening, reading, and sharing God's love and life's blessings with her grandchildren and all neighborhood kids. Bonnie was a dedicated Christian and a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church for more than 50 years where she served terms as treasurer, children's Sunday School teacher, and worked on numerous committee assignments. She was highly respected and loved by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home from 11:00 AM - 2:00 P.M., followed immediately by graveside services led by Rev. Michael Guertin at Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers and other gifts, donations may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, designated for the FUEL Program (providing food for local children in need). Mail donations to Jo Shelby, MPUMC Treasurer, P.O. Box 44, Woodlawn, TN, 37191.

As a casual acquaintance of Mrs. Chester with whom I knew when I was employed at CMH as well as a nearby neighbor in the Dotsonville Road area, I found her to be a sweet, kind woman. I am so sorry to hear she has passed away. My sincere sympathy to Mr. Chester, as well as her family and friends.

Mrs. Chester was a very sweet woman with whom I had a casual acquaintance when I was employed at CMH as well as a neighbor in the Dotsonville Road community. She made an impression even after so many years, and I am sad to hear of her passing. My sympathy to Mr. Chester and her family and friends.
