Brock Wyatt Blick, 11, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017.
Brock was born on February 8, 2005, in Clarksville, TN to Mark Blick and Jeri Buckner Blick.
Brock was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William David Blick and uncle, Tony Blick.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Clarksville Grace Chapel, with Dr. Felts Dent, Ashley Wyatt, and Phil Buckner officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, from 2:00-7:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Clarksville and Thursday, January 12, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. Burial will be at Louise United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Brock was a 6th grader at Richview Middle School.
In addition to his parents, Brock is survived by his paternal grandmother, Carolyn Blick of Clarksville, TN; maternal grandparents, Bonnie and Jerry Buckner of Cumberland Furnace, TN; two uncles, Terry (Karen) Blick of Clarksville, TN and Terry (Amy) Buckner of Cunningham, TN; four first cousins, Adam (Morgan) Blick, Johnathan Blick, Taylor Buckner, and Dawson Buckner.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Harrison, Jason Johns, Garrett Wallace, Tim Barrow, Greg Barrow, and Gary Threat. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Gary Mathews Motors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County, 940 Tennessee Avenue, Clarksville, TN 37040 or to the Brock Blick Memorial Fund, c/o Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, 1510 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040. I knew Brock. He was my friend and we have the same birthday. I am still shocked that he has slipped away at such a young age. He was one if the few people who was nice to everybody. He shared everything and had a wonderful light he shared with everybody. He was a wonderful kid. May he Rest In Peace.

Mark, I am so very sorry to hear about your son. I first heard about it in the TN House Chambers when Rep. Curtis Johnson asked for people to pray for the family. I can only imagine the loss that you must feel. I pray for God's comfort and strength in the days ahead.

I'm soooo sorry for your loss I never knew Brock that well when we were little I remember we both went to kiddy land day care. Even though I was and am a year older than him we used to play together. I will miss you always! I've loved seeing you grow this far but I wish you would have grown more and not have went so tragically. Brock went to my school I never knew him but the teachers really loved him i know it's lossing someone you love I lost my cousin when i was 4 years old I lost a cousin and a bestfriend even though we were just 4 years old she got me she was like me another me but in a different body i don'tremember her alot but i know she a cousin,a sister ,and a bestfriend. This is no doubt the most heartbreaking and difficult message I've ever written.
Our hearts are so full of shock and sadness over the tragic loss of Brock.
I wish I could find just the right thing to say, but just knowing the pain you are feeling right now, is so deep and so real, it can never be repaired by words.
This kind of devastation you are experiencing, is just not suppose to happen.
Losing a child goes against everything we want and expect out of life.
Brock tiptoed into your hearts, and has now left an Amazing Footprint there.
Always know in your hearts, that the love you had for him, allowed him to shine bright in his world.

Jeri and Mark, I can't imagine the pain you are feeling. I didn't know your sweet son, but it just breaks my heart that Brock's not here with you anymore. A parent should never have to go through what you are going through. I'll be praying that God gives you the strength to get through this.
