Douglas Ramey Obituary
Douglas Ramey, age 27 of Clarksville, died August 16, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday at St. Paul Baptist Church, Cunningham, TN with Pastor Alexander Gatson, Eulogist, Burial in St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 12 noon til 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Family present from 5-7 p.m.
He was born July 8, 1984 in Clarksville, TN, the son of Robert D. Ramey and Geraldine E. Lyle Ramey. He was a graduate of Clarksville High School.
He leaves to cherish his memory; mother, Geraldine E. Ramey of Clarksville; sisters, Gretta D. (Arthur) Foy of Huntsville, AL, Kimberly A. Ramey of Columbus, OH, Dawn R. Ramey of Clarksville and Tina M. Ramey of Dickson; brothers, Robert A. (Monica) Ramey of Lyles, Rev. Anthony J. (Regina) Lyles, Sr. of Clarksville, Randall S. Ramey of Dickson and Dale A. Lyle of Cunningham; special friend, Monsika J. Jones of Clarksville; maternal grandmother, Lurlene Lyle of Cunningham; a host of family and friends.

Just woke up out of my sleep and the first person on my mind was your mother ,Ms./Aunt Geraldine. Know that I check on her from time to time and pray for her daily. Justin keeps me up to date with your little princess Aria. She is a beautiful and happy baby and your family is doing an excellent job with her. Baby Bro, It's almost been a year since you left us. It has been so hard I think about you all day everyday. The pain is still here, I have never felt pain like this since Papaw left us. I thought losing him was unbearable, but losing you has turned my life upside down. Foy was only able to stay 2 weeks after the funeral, so it has been hard not to have someone here to support me. Bro. Aria is sooo cute, she looks just like you. When I first held her she started saying DADDAD, I told her to tell you I said Hi and I miss you. I so hated to tell the kids that you were gone, they so Loved you they always talk about you. You know Lil Miss Aria, will never have to want,need or ask for anything. She will be taken care of til the day I die. Well Baby Bro Happy Birthday. I ask that you and Papaw continue to watch over all of us.

Thought about you today DJ. Actually I think of you often. You are dearly missed but constantly remembered for all the laughter you brought into many lifes. Your baby girl is soooo smart. She lacks nothing as all of your family and friends see to it that she wants for nothing. She had her first Easter Egg hunt with Justin and Tiauna this year. Did you get your balloon...well it's on the way. Justin was scared to hold her when she was born. She was so fragile to him. Now? You can't keep him away from her. He's so comfortable and gentle with her. They even sleep together. You'd be straight clowning him but he's great with her, you'd be proud. Now Tiauna....man she's all over it! She has more pics of Aria on her facebook page then herself. Aria is definitely a fashionista! She even knows how to pose for the camera! She has this one look where she cuts her eye's at you as if to say..j*gga I know ya'll talkn bout me! It's almost scary cause she knows exactly when to do it. Anyway DJ, please continue to watch over your family and protect "My Justin". Please comfort him as he has a hard time every know and again. I pray that his joy soon over shadows his pain.
