Elizabeth Howard Harris, 81, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Elizabeth was born on March 28, 1935, in Kermit, WV to the late John Edward Howard and Louise Chaffin Howard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James J. Harris; daughter, Kay Mann; and brother, John Howard.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Melvin Felts and Rev. Larry Mulberry officiating. Burial will be at Fort Donelson National Cemetery in Dover, TN. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Elizabeth was a devoted retired owner of Roto Rooter. She was Past President and Member of the Gold Star Wives of America Tuck-a-ssee Chapter and Past Treasurer of the Southeast Regional Chapter. She was a member of Northeast Baptist Church and volunteered at the Tennova Breast Center.

Elizabeth is survived by two sons, Jay (Vickie) Harris of Clarksville, TN and Jeff Harris of Santa Rosa, CA; daughter, Lynn (Gene) Whitfield of Clarksville, TN; son-in-law, Dewayne Mann of Clarksville, TN; two sisters, Peggy Marcum of Columbus, OH and Jean (Jerry) Ronhovde of Hickman, NE; and six grandchildren, Matt (Cindy) Cordell, Jenna (Kevin Yates) Harris, Jordan (Corey) Davis, Tabitha Mixon, Chasity Sink, and Matt (Emily) Harris; five great-grandchildren; devoted friend, Shirley Puckett; and devoted pets, Harley, Scotty, and Lucky.

Pallbearers will be Mike Gray, Matt Harris, Corey Davis, Matt Cordell, Keith Whitfield, and Kevin Yates. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Roto Rooter.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northeast Baptist Church, 3900 Trenton Road, Clarksville, TN 37040.
