Katie McLemore Obituary
Katie E. McLemore, age 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 9, 2013. She passed away at her home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2013 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ron Bailey officiating. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 1 p.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
Katie entered this life on November 10, 1927 in Trigg County, KY, daughter to Frank Stone Killebrew and Sally Lowree Killebrew. Not only was she a loving and attentive homemaker, but was dedicated to a 21 year career with Acme Boot Company. She was a member of the church family at Little West Fork Baptist Church.
Katie was preceded by her husbands, Lawrence P. Spry and Thomas S. McLemore, and her son-in-law, Jerry Cupit, Sr.
Survivors include her daughters, June Cupit of Clarksville, Nancy P. Scott and husband Ron of Collierville, TN, and Sally Bumpus and husband Jerry Lee of Greenwell Springs, LA; and siblings, Annette Dority and husband Eugene of Clarksville, Sue Moore of Clarksville, Faye Green and husband Ronnie of Clarksville, and Danny Killebrew and wife Donna of Clarksville. She was the grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of eighteen.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jerry Cupit, Greg Cupit, Jeff Bumpus, Jayson Scott, and Larry Cupit, and son-in-laws, Jerry Lee Bumpus and Ron Scott.

So sorry for your loss. So glad I was able to see her last month...she was so sweet that day as always. She was a very loving lady, will never forget her wonderful personality. You girls were very blessed to have a wonderful Christian mom. Your mom will live on in each of you.

Sunshine and Sissy loved Miss Katie so much. The mere mention of her name would start a hyper rush to the door for their leashes. My girls gave Miss Katie joy, but more importantly we knew that Miss Katie loved us. So, from now on, we will have to walk in the other direction.
