Lew, more than anyone else, helped me discover and develop the writer within me. His thoughtful, caring manner left an indelible imprint on who I am. His influence on each of us continues as an 'eternal reciprocity' of care. Gerry, as much as I hurt for your loss, I celebrate the long, loving life you had together. You remain in my prayers.

Lew was one of the best people on the planet. He had a powerful influence on my life, as I'm sure he did on the lives of many others who were privileged to be his students and his friends. My heartfelt condolences to Gerry and all the family.

Tatham Family Members, I want to extend to each one of you my heartfelt condolences in the loss of Dr. Tatham. As a former English major at Austin Peay, I too hold fond memories of Dr. Tatham and his teaching expertise. He always performed his role as a teacher in a style reflective of the teaching profession. I know your hearts are filled with sadness, but please know many former students extend to you our condolences and are thinking of you during this difficult time in your lives.
With sympathy,
Mary-Elaine Horn
