Dr. Patricia Thomas Botkin

Dr. Patricia Botkin, age 91, passed away on Thursday, July 13 2015 at her home in Clarksville, TN.

She was born on January 30, 1924 in Detroit, MI to the late Henry and Ethel Thomas. Pat grew up in Pasadena, CA, marrying Daniel F. Botkin on December 24, 1943. They moved to Rochester, NY where they raised their two sons. She was an elementary school teacher and graduated from the University of Rochester with a Doctorate in Education. She retired from San Diego State University as a professor of education. She enjoyed sailing, photography and writing poetry. In retirement she loved to cruise and travel extensively. She received numerous awards for swimming in the Senior Olympics and Senior Photography.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her sister, Lorna.

She is survived by her sons, Henry Botkin of San Diego, CA and Daniel Botkin of Indian Mound, TN. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

At her request, no services will be held. She will be interred at the Masonic Cemetery in Las Cruces, NM.
