Roger Anderson Obituary
Clarksville - Roger Dean Anderson, age 91, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018, at Tennova Healthcare.
Roger was born October 29, 1926, in Bear Lake, MI, to the late Robert Anderson and Ellen Hautamaki Anderson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Joan Anderson; daughter, Sheryl Lynn Hawkins; and sisters, Shirley Baldwin and Alice Hayden.
Mr. Anderson was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was a US Army veteran , having served in World War II. Roger was a member of Operating Engineers Local 324 for over 40 years.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 3, at 12:00 PM, at First Baptist Church of Woodlawn, with Pastor Ken Hendrix officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, February 3, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service, at the Church.
Roger is survived by three sons, Dennis (Bonnie) Anderson, Marty (Maxine) Anderson, and Brent (Cathy) Anderson; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Woodlawn, 2751 Woodlawn Road, Woodlawn, TN 37191; The Grove Church, 2122 Tom Austin Highway, Greenbrier, TN 37073; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Dennis and Bonnie.. Sorry to hear about Rogers passing.. Just think he is with out Lord. Amen.. Sometimes in the past few years Doug and I will say I wonder how Roger and Helen are doing. I was shocked to see that Sheryl had passed on..I don't know if you were here visiting if you were aaaable to see the new church that God gave us.. We were able to be debt free the day of our first service.. It is a beautiful place of worship.Hope to see you if you come up again..Love to you all.. Hugs
