Nurse and Private PhysicianDAVENPORT -- Mrs. Ada M. Martin of Davenport died of heart failure Friday (Dec. 13, 2002). She was 85.Born Feb. 5, 1917 in Endicott, N.Y., she came here from Lake Placid in 1988. She was a registered nurse at St. James Mercy Hospital and a private physician in New York. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Lake Placid and a lay reader for St. Mary & Martha Chapel at Bishop Gray Inn in Davenport.Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Brownson Martin. She is survived by her son, William R. Martin, Camillus, N.Y.; daughter, Charlotte Ada Martin, Seaside, Calif.; sisters, Ruth Lockwood, Melbourne, Carol Kelly, Monterray, Tenn.; and one grandchild.Services will be this morning at St. Mary & Martha Chapel at Bishop Gray Inn, Davenport.Memorials can be made to St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, 43 Lake June Road Lake Placid, Fla. 33852 St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church Memorial Grounds.
