SOUTHFIELD, MI. - Chesley Woodard, 68 of Southfield, MI., died Wed., Jan. 2, 2008.
Mr. Woodard was born in Mulberry on March 24, 1939 to the late Eddie & Eliza Posey Woodard. He worked at the Pontiac Division of General Motors Corp. for 38 years where he achieved the level of management supervisor. He was also the owner of Eileen Mortgage Funding, Inc., Southfield, MI. & Woodard's Roofing Co. in Pontiac, MI.
He is preceded in death by his parents & his sister Eddie Mae Stevenson. He is survived by his wife Dr. Johnnie Wilder-Woodard & daughter Regina Eileen Woodard, Southfield, MI.; sons Chesley, Jr., Pontiac, MI. & Bruce, Farmington Hills, MI. Siblings Wogan Jean , Ft. Worth, TX, Oziemar Barbra Lakeland, Lawrence Alma Conyers, GA, Evelyn Boyd The late Waldo , Plano, TX, Herbert Betty Winter Haven, Annette Dempsey, Mulberry, Julia Lewis Michael Lakeland, Elaine Woodard, Mulberry, Emma Neal Mario Winter Park, Gwendolyn Porter Eric Lima, OH; Uncle Elijah Posey, Detroit, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & many devoted friends.
Visitation will be Fri. from 6-8PM at Gause Funeral Home, Bartow. Services will be Sat. at 11 00 AM at Jerusalem M.B. Church, 308 SW 3rd. Ave, Mulberry with the Rev. Dr. Nathaniel B. Hill officiating. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow. Memorials may be made to The Eddie & Eliza Posey Woodard Educational Foundation, 309 Dr. MLK Jr. Ave., Mulberry, FL. 33860.

As a Family we stand strong on our faith and love for one another, this is not a time of sorrow but a time to rejoice and be happy that our loved ones have safely made it over.
