LAKELAND - Mr. David Frank Gillespie died January 31, 2010 at his home of respiratory failure.
Mr. Gillespie was born September 2, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a member of the Postal Union for 42 years and an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He was Lutheran faith.
Mr. Gillespie was predeceased by his wife of 36 years, Charlotte Long Gillespie. Survivors include son, Brian K, Gillespie, daughter, Debra Gillespie, daughter, Mel-issa Gillespie, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 3, 2010 from 5-7 P.M. at Heath Funeral Chapel. Gravesides services will be held on Thursday February 4, 2010 at noon at Oak Hill Burial Park. He was a devoted husband and loving father, and a nurturing grandpa.
