GREEN, 44
LAKELAND - Duane A. Green, 44, passed away from injuries sustained from a motor vehicle collision while working in North Dakota.
Duane was born in Warren, Michigan on June, 19, 1967. The son of a soldier, he moved frequently as child, and as an adult eventually settled in Roseville, MI when he married his long time romantic interest, Amanda. Duane moved his family to Lakeland in the Summer of 2009 and worked as a truck driver for several area companies before accepting a job as commercial driver in the North Dakota oilfields a month ago.
Duane loved three things in life more than anything; his guitars, his
motorcycle, and most importantly, his loving family. Whether taking his
daughter, Sabrina, for rides on his Harley Davidson, jamming on guitars with 3 year old Sierra, or planning what summer concerts to see and beaches to visit with son Sean, Duane cherished his family above all.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church at the Mall on
Tuesday at 5pm.
Duane is survived by wife, Amanda; daughters, Sabrina (14) and Sierra (3); son, Sean (18); mother, Valerie, Lakeland, FL; brothers, Robert, Lawton, OK, and Brandon, Ithaca, NY; and his sisters, Stacey, Morro Bay, CA, and Debbie, Warren, MI.

Well honey, it has been a year. I would like to wish you a first Happy Birthday in Heaven rather than mourn your departure from this hellish earth. I am comforted knowing you are happy and at peace with God. I miss you, every day, I miss you. I love you, all ways and always. Sierra remembers playing bubbles and wishes they would float up to heaven instead of bursting so quickly. But then life has a way of bursting our bubbles doesn't it? I love you. I miss you.
