Publix
LAKELAND - Earnest Starling, 84, of Lakeland, passed away Jan. 28, 2011 at Consulate Healthcare, of respiratory failure.
Mr. Starling was born in Lawtey, FL, but spent most of his life in Lakeland where he worked as a recycler for Publix Supermarkets, retiring in 1988. He loved going on vacation to the beach, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy, a daughter Patricia of Lakeland, 2 sons, Steve and wife Debbie of Jacksonville and Earnest "Leroy" and wife Betty of Lakeland; a brother Richard and wife Mossy of Jacksonville, 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 31, 2011 at 11:00 am at Crestview Baptist Church, 6949 Old Polk City Rd., with burial to follow at Oak Hill Burial Park. Friends and neighbors are invited to the church from 10:00 to 11:00 on Monday.
Arrangements being handled by Gentry-Morrison, Northside.
