Ethel A. Meyer

Ethel A. Meyer Lakeland - Ethel A. Meyer, 89, died of cancer Tuesday (Oct. 24, 2006) at Good Shepherd Hospice, Palm Terrace. Born in Jeanette, Pa., on March 6, 1917, she came to Lakeland from Miami in 1964. She was a homemaker, and the work chairman for the Ladies Missionary Society at Faith Wesleyan Church where she was a very active and faithful member. She was faithful to help the Florida Baptist Children's Home and she also helped the Children's Home in Macon, Ga. through her church. Mrs. Meyer was preceded in death by her husband, John Meyer; and brother, Edward "Buddy" Kelly. She is survived by her sister, Aida Shuster, Pennsylvania. Visitation will be 12:30-1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006 at Faith Wesleyan Church, Lakeland. Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
