Gloria Guido Obituary

1929 ~ 2014
Gloria Clara Rizzuto Guido, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully into the arms of angels on Saturday, April 5, 2014. Gloria was born January 21, 1929 in Rizzuti, Italy to Antonio and Mary Josephine Rizzuto. She immigrated to Salt Lake City, Utah as a young child and graduated from West High School in 1946. She married Dante "Dan" Guido on December 28, 1948. Gloria was a wonderful housewife and Italian cook. She also worked as a comptometer operator for many years at Utah Poultry, Cream O'Weber Dairy, and Skaggs Alpha Beta. She was skilled in knitting and crocheting and created beautiful scarves and afghans. She loved her grandchildren who called her "G.G." She enjoyed traveling and spending time at the Senior Center. But mostly, she loved being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dan. She is survived by her two daughters, Rosanne (Gary) Henderson and Dana (Robert) Easton, both of Salt Lake City, and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane (5000 South). A vigil service will be held Tuesday, April 8th at 8:00 p.m. at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Committal, Mt.
