JOHN STANFIELD Obituary
WINTER HAVEN - John Allen Stanfield of Winter Haven passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019. He was 63.
A native of Winter Haven, born December 8, 1955 to John and Ruth Clark Stanfield, John has lived here his whole life. He was a Licensed Optician for over 40 years, and most recently for Eye Specialists of Mid Florida. John was a 1974 Winter Haven High School graduate and loved to fish and the outdoors.
John is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Barbara; his son John O. Stanfield; his daughter Amanda L. Stanfield; his brothers: William Stanfield (Mary) and Raymond Stanfield, and a niece Christy Dudley (Gene).
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Condolences to the family can be sent to: www.oakridgefuneralcare.com .

My condolences. I knew John through the eye clinic (two different locations). The first time I met him I needed a pair of emergency glasses made right away as I lost a pair and broke another over the course of a week and he was awesome and super helpful getting those made for me very fast. Then later on when he moved to the other location I saw him a few other times. I always seem to step or sit on my glasses and break them and had multiple broken pairs that I thought could not be fixed (screws broken out, wires snapped, etc.) However, to my surprise he was able to fix the broken pairs I had in minutes I was amazed plus he always was very helpful at helping me pick out new pairs and size the frames perfectly. Super nice guy, he was the best at what he did.

I worked with John 30+ years ago at TOC and remember him as one of the nicest, sweetest guys ever. Always a smile.
