JOSEPH EARL
HENDRY, 74

VIDALIA, GEORGIA - Mr. Joseph Earl Hendry, age 74, of Vidalia, Georgia, was born February 2, 1941, and died Sunday, December 20, 2015, in the Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia, after an extended illness.
He was a native of Lake Placid, Florida, and graduated high school there in 1959. He was a 1964 graduate of the University of Florida. He was the owner of Earl Hendry State Farm in Arcadia for forty-two years, and after retiring, relocated to Vidalia in 2010. He served in the Army National Guard for six years, was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Auburndale, Florida and was a member of the Arcadia Rotary Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Edward Hendry and Beulah Olive Alderman Hendry. Mr. Hendry is survived by his wife, Claudia Hendry of Vidalia; two sons, Lee Manning of Arcadia, and Mike Manning and wife Jenny of Vidalia; four grandchildren, Harlee and Sayje Manning and Logan and Hunter Manning; one brother, James Edward Hendry of Lake Placid; and one niece, Michelle Wilkes of Nashville, Tennessee.
A memorial service and 'celebration of life' will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at First Missionary Baptist Church in Auburndale, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105, or by visiting their website at stjude.org , or to Ronald McDonald House Charities, One Kroc Drive, Oak Brook, Illinois 60523, or by visiting their website at rmhc.org .
