HAINES CITY - Joy Evans, born in Blossburg, PA, celebrated 56 years of life before passing away from respiratory failure due to cancer on 3-7-14.
Although she worked hard, her work was not her life. She truly treasured her family and friends and acted accordingly. She was a semi-hoarder of shoes and clothes and passionate about shopping, often closing the store with the employees. Her dream job would have been to critique mani/pedis, always knowing the best places to go for one.
She was a delicate flower that enjoyed sunbathing, beaches, and mini-vacations with family and friends.
She is predeceased by her father, Leon Morton; her brother, Robin Morton; and her son, Sage Evans. Surviving are her mother, Phyllis Morton; daughter and son from NY, Holly Terlaje (Joe), Jeffrey Easton (Renee); her daughters from Florida, Kara Vasquez (Ovi), Lacey Fussell (Matt); her grandchildren Kody Easton, Amber and Zackery Terlaje, Samantha Easton, Trystan Vasquez and Khloe Fussell, her husband/friend, Johnny Evans and her brothers, Lance and Travis Morton.
Her youthful energy and playful spirit will live on in those that love her. Her laughter and quirkiness will be greatly missed by all.
