Joyce Wetherington Obituary

HomemakerPLANT CITY -- Mrs. Joyce T. Wetherington of Plant City died of heart failure Tuesday (Aug. 29, 2006) in Plant City. She was 80.Born in Lily on Jan. 7, 1926, she was a longtime resident of Plant City. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.Mrs. Wetherington was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Wetherington. She is survived by her sons, Allan Wetherington, Bryce Wetherington, both of Plant City, Wade Wetherington, Tampa, Rodney Wetherington, Clermont; daughters, Kimball Wetherington, Lake City, Colo., Joy O'Connell, Fredericksburg, Va., Gay Smith, Jana Mercer, both of Plant City, Lynn Wetherington, Santa Rosa, Calif.; sisters, Doris Howell, Merle Surrency, both of Plant City; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at Shiloh Baptist Church in Plant City. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Haught Funeral Home, Plant City.
