AUBURNDALE - Kenneth Arnold Cone, 74, died November 4, 2012 at his home in Auburndale, Florida, due to heart failure.
He was born May 19, 1938 in Ray City, Georgia and moved to Auburndale 56 years ago. Mr. Cone retired as a forklift operator from Owens-Illinois Corporation after 34 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his son Kenneth Bruce Cone. Mr. Cone is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Cone of Auburndale, son Blake Cone of Lakeland, daughters Marsha Ann Locke of Lakeland and Karen Michelle Cone of Auburndale, sister Margaret Bennett of Valdosta, Georgia. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday (today) from 1:30 to 3 PM with funeral services to follow at 3 PM in the chapel of Lakeland Funeral Home.

daddy its been 6wks since youve left us im so empty inside,im lost without you daddy,i miss you so much i cant believe your gone daddy i will never be the same,i see momma everyday she is so sad so lost without you,the only thing that helps us is knowing that we will be together in heaven one day.sarah left us to daddy about 2wks ago i know you have seen and talked to her.tell her we love her and miss her.daddy tell everybody we love them.daddy i love you so much you were the best daddy ever!!talk to you soon.

Grandpa, I really don't know where to begin! It's been hard grandpa,real hard without you.I'm doing all I can to keep strong but deep inside I'm weak.I have only been to your house once since you left me. It's just too hard on me to be there and not have you to take care of. I'd do anything to have you here still just as you were but pain free and disease free! But if I could have you just to continue to take good care of you like I did I'd be so happy! Those last several weeks we had together were Incredible to me because I found so much joy in staying with you and taking care of you and everytime I walked in your face would light up and you always smiled no matter how bad you felt.That made me feel so complete inside! Then the last four days we spent together was hard but I knew and you knew I was'nt going to leave your side,so when I seen Jesus's Angels coming for you I climbed right up in that bed beside you and deep inside I was begging God to just give me one more day with you!! So for now I'm gonna keep on fighting through this ole world until we are together again and just know I am ALWAYS thinking of you every second of my days,,and wishing you were still here with me..I love you Grandpa with every breath I breath and I miss you more than I can explain but I know this is just temporary.So keep watching over me until I join you in Heaven someday..LOVE Tiffany

daddy it has been 2 weeks since youve went to heaven,oh daddy i miss you so much!my heart is so sad,it is so hard to go to your house,everywhere i look i see you,i can smell your scent,the only thing that helps is knowing you are with jesus,momma is doing ok daddy,she is so sad,she misses you so much,god is helping her.thanksgiving is this week,wont be the same,little landon goes around all day saying i miss my papa,he kissess you picture,talk to you soon daddy give all kissess for me!!!!love you marsha
