LAURA FARABAUGH Obituary
LAKELAND - Laura Frances Farabaugh, age 83, passed away November 19, 2017.
Born in Haleyville, Alabama to Ollie and Ethel Hess, she loved her Lord, family, singing and making jewelry from beads. Her friends at Valencia Hills knew her as the 'bead lady.'
Laura Frances was preceded in death by her parents Ollie and Ethel Hess, husband Victor Lee Brooks, also John Farabaugh, sister Dorothy Simmons, son James Victor Brooks.
She is survived by daughter Laura Carter (Ralph), grandsons Joseph Lee Carter, Adam Brooks, granddaughter Christy Brooks, five great grandchildren: Melody, Zola, Wyatt, Isiah, Malachi, two brothers Morris Hess (Mildred), Fred Hess (Gladys), also loving nieces and nephews, daughter in law Teresa Parks.
She was a wonderful, loving, caring mother and friend that is going to be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held Monday, November 27, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Central Florida Casket Store and Funeral Chapel at 2090 East Edgewood Drive, Lakeland, FL, 33803. The funeral will be held graveside Tuesday morning, November 28, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Oak Hill Burial Park, 4620 US Highway 98 South, Lakeland, FL.
