Lawrence Bivins Obituary
U.S. Navy
WINTER HAVEN - Mr. Lawrence Charles Bivins, age 20, died Thursday (March 13, 2008) of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born in Bartow, FL., on Aug. 17, 1987, he was a lifelong resident. He was a Gunner's Mate, 2nd Class serving on the U.S.S. Wasp in the U.S. Navy, home port LAD1 Norfolk, VA. He was a graduate at Winter Haven High School, class of 2005. He was a former explorer with the Winter Haven Police and Fire Department. He was Pentecostal.
Mr. Bivins is survived by his wife Maria Bivins, Providence, R.I., mother Bridgett Thomas, stepfather Roy Thompson, Winter Haven, father Andre' Bivins, Winter Haven, grandparents Lenora McNeal, Cordelle, GA., Lula Bivins, Winter Haven, brothers Andre' Bivins Haywood, Cordele, GA., Antonio Bivins, Winter Haven.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Holiness Church, 2520 4th St. N.E., Winter Haven. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be in Lakeside Memorial Park.
