HAND, 73
LAKELAND - Leon Marsh Hand, age 73, lost his battle with cancer on November 28, 2018.
He was born in Hazlehurst, Georgia on February 13, 1945, to Jessie and Marie Hand.
Leon moved to Florida 61 years ago. He was a heavy equipment mechanic and bravely served in the Vietnam War.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Elbert Hand, Talmedge Hand, TJ Hand, Arvin Hand, Ben Hand and sisters Mrytice Bohanna, Maude Smith, Phyllis Dunn, and Fannie Mae Causy.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Linda Hand, daughters, Melissa (Eric) Smith, Melinda (Thomas) Smith, grand-children Trenten Hand, Marquise Smith, Shyanne Smith and Amayah Smith, sister Joyce Diffenworth and a host of nephews and nieces, family and friends.

So nice knowing Mr. Leon. Sorry to see him go. I enjoyed our conversations and watching him be a proud Papa over the years. He often even spoiled my babies along with his grands. So sweet. He will be missed.

Uncle Leon, he was an Awesome Man, Husband, Father, Papa, Uncle, Brother, Friend... He made such an impact on so many people, he will be greatly missed. He sure did love his family and was so proud of each and every one of them. My heart breaks for his family as they face life here on earth without Uncle Leon but remember, this is only temporary and it is not good bye, it is see you later. I continue to keep you all in prayer, you all are great people and you will get through this together. You will forever have his memories and the vision of him up in Heaven right now with all of our others and him watching them fish lol Love You All....
