Mary Coker Obituary

Polk County GovernmentLAKELAND -- Mrs. Mary Anne Coker of Lakeland died of heart failure Saturday (April 30, 2005) at home. She was 91.Born in Kansas City, Kan., on Sept. 20, 1913, she came to the area when she was young. She was a retired supervisor for Polk County government and worked for the county for 20 years. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.Mrs. Coker was preceded in death by her husband, C.H. Jack Coker. She is survived by her son, Larry Coker, Ruskin; brother, Louie Skender, Merrit Island; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday with a rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. at Lakeland Funeral Home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Resurrection Catholic Church. Burial will be in Oak Hill Burial Park.
