Milton Watson Obituary

Forklift OperatorLAKELAND -- Mr. Milton Eric Watson Sr. died of cancer Thursday (July 29, 2004) in Lakeland. He was 81.Born in Turkey Creek on Sept. 11, 1922, he came to Plant City as a young boy. He was a retired a forklift operator for Union Camp. He was a former member of Lebanon Baptist Church in Plant City, where he served as a deacon. He also attended Bethany Baptist Church before joining Shiloh Baptist Church, both in Plant City.Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Marie Ellis Watson. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Price Bocknor Watson; sons, Thomas Watson, Greenville, Ala., Eric Watson, Lakeland, Raymond Bocknor, Fort Myers, James Watson, Plant City, and Mark Bucknor and Herbert Watson, both of Dover; daughters, Lottie Watson Wiggins, Marianne Bocknor Langford and Lori Watson Wiggins, all of Plant City; brothers, Benny Watson, Bartow, and Thomas Watson, Texas; sisters, Wilma Davis and Myrtice Griffin, both of Georgia; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two greatgreat-grandchildren. Hopewell Funeral Home, Plant City.
