O'NEAL, 86

AUBURNDALE - Mr. Morris O'Neal, age 86, a lifetime Auburndale resident passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Good Shepherd Hospice Forsythe House due to cancer.
Mr. O'Neal was born March 16,1927 in Auburndale to George William and Annie (Cooley) O'Neal. He was a retired funeral assistant with Kersey Funeral Home, a member of Faith Baptist Church in Winter Haven and a member of the Winter Haven V.F.W. Post 4289. Morris was a United States Navy veteran serving in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Morris is survived by his twin sister Maurine Hardy of Winter Haven, 3 nephews: Cecil (Pat) Roller of Olive Branch, MS, Harry (Faye) Norris of Auburndale, David (Linda) Norris of Winter Haven, 1 niece: Patricia (Terry) Daghita of Auburndale, several great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Kersey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Auburndale Cemetery with military honors.
Visitation will be held before from 10-11 AM at the funeral home.

I only knew Morris for a short time, during his later years. He would always put a smile on my face and he seemed to be a kind soul. Please reflect on all your fond memories of him as you go through this difficult time.
