Necia Koury Obituary
KOURY
LAKELAND - On Tuesday, December 22, 2020 Necia Hansen Koury, wife and mother passed away at age 53. Necia was born on August 24, 1967 in Atlanta, Georgia to Arthur and Linda Hansen. She grew up in Clearwater, Florida and received her Bachelor's degree from Florida State University in 1991. On March 19, 1997 she married Stephen Koury on the lawn in front of the Lakeland public library. They raised one daughter, Sage. Mrs. Koury was deeply involved in running the family art business while raising her daughter, and volunteering at her daughter's school.
Necia was passionate about life, staying fit, eating healthy, loving her friends, watching birds and being in nature. She strove to make her husband and daughter's lives wonderful. She loved cooking and working behind the scenes, she was known for her kindness and a genuinely infectious smile.
Necia was preceded in death by her father Arthur while being survived by her husband Stephen, their daughter Sage, her mother, Linda Dennis Jewel, sister Angela Hansen, brother Steven Hansen and several cousins and nephews.
A celebration of Necia's life will be held in the future, for information about the future celebration email [email protected]. Please no flowers, cards may be sent to 1029 Rustic Estates Drive, Lakeland, FL 33811. In lieu of donations please make a gift in memory of Necia H. Koury to the Audubon Society at www.Audubon.com.
