EICHBAUER, 88

WINTER HAVEN - Neva W. Eichbauer, 88, formerly of Medina, passed away of heart failure on Saturday, May 12, 2012 in her home in Winter Haven, FL with her loving son at her side.
Born in Lyndonville, NY on December 16, 1923, she was the daughter of the late George and Lula (Powley) Whitney. She graduated from Barker Central School in 1941 and married the late Richard Eichbauer on July 29, 1950. Neva was a homemaker who enjoyed playing Bridge, sewing, crafts and cooking. She had a strong interest in helping the disadvantaged. Over the years she developed numerous life-long friends from Springfield, Va., Greensburg, and Redding, PA, Johannesburg, So. Africa, and other places she lived, most recently at the lake in Lyndonville and Winter Haven, FL.
Neva is survived by her son: George (Julie) Eichbauer of Watkinsville, GA, son-in-law Jeffrey McCabe, granddaughters: Erin McCabe, Kristin and Kelsey Eichbauer.
She is predeceased by her daughter Elinor "Susie" McCabe and two sisters: Evelyn Kemp and Arlene Clarke.
A Memorial service will be held at 1PM on September 1, 2012 at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 112 N. Main St., Lyndonville, 14098 with Rev. Catherine Benjamin officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Neva's name to Helping Hand Nursing Services, Inc., 1948 E. Edgewood Dr., Lakeland, FL, 33803.
