HARNOIS, 76
WINTER HAVEN - Paul J. Harnois, 76, died at home on July 17, 2015.
He retired in 1992, after a 22-year career with General Motors (C.P.C. Headquarters) located in Warren, Michigan. After retirement he went on to become a real estate associate with Century 21 Crossroads located in Woonsocket, RI for approximately 5 years, then worked several years as a security officer for the Ames Distribution Center located in Mansfield, MA, and finally, as a security officer with the Foxwood Resort/Casino located in CT.
He was a veteran serving his country with the Air National Guard, active Air Force, and the United States Army. He attained the rank of Sergeant First Class (E-7) while serving in Vietnam prior to leaving the military. He was also active with the Four Lakes Veterans Organization located in Winter Haven Florida serving in several positions from Master-at-Arms to Administrative Officer. He Co-edited the Veterans Voice newsletter.
He was the husband of Claire B. Harnois and son of the late Lucien and Onita Harnois. Besides his wife of almost 54 years he leaves four daughters, Kathy Rou-leau (Gary) of Oakland RI, Christine Goulet of Pascoag, RI, Karen Ardila (Rudy) Virginia Beach, VA, and Darlene Labrecque (Tom) of Harrisville, RI; two brothers, Norman Harnois (Maureen Ann) of N. Smithfield, RI, and Albert Harnois (Cecile) of Liverpool, NY; his sister, Yvette Corneau (Gerry) Putnam, CT; and 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Claire, you don't know me, but I first met Paul when he was 16 years old and he and Norman were friends of Ronny LeVasseur and he drove a Ford that je had painted black and cream...by hand. I think of him and those times and it makes me smile.
