LAKELAND - Susan Lenore Kempton Moore, 59, died a peaceful death May 26, 2014 in her Lakeland, FL home, from complications of cancer. Her husband and two daughters were at her side.
Born July 12, 1954 in Plainfield, NJ, Susan was the middle child of Robert and Shirley Kempton.
Susan spent the last 12 years dedicated to her work as the Administrator of Temple Emanuel in Lakeland, Fl. She also served as a missionary all over the world throughout her adult life. In addition, she spent 13 years in service to our country as 1st Sergeant in the Air National Guard. Her death on Memorial Day was quite fitting.
Her love for life, family, and God was obvious. She loved supporting her family, planning vacations and the most fun filled adventures for her grandchildren.
She was truly treasured by all those who knew her. The world has lost an amazing woman who will be greatly missed. To know her was a blessing.
Survived by her husband Darrell Moore, daughters: Jessica Smiley, her husband Sam and their children Halie, Sam and Lucy; and Amanda Williams and her children Townes and Opal; daughters by marriage: Ashley and Haley and her daughter Caroline; her sister Pamela Shepard and family and brother Robert Kempton and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Shirley Kempton, son in law Jamie, and grandson Alex.

Oh Darrell! I am so sorry for your loss; I just learned today that she was gone. We were friends and intellectual companions for many years. I shall miss her, but know that she is now with our Lord. My prayers are with you and the family.

Your loss is Heavens gain. Susan mission was completed. I faced the same situation 14 years ago with the loss of my beloved wife, Faith.
Remember God is not finished with us, yet. He still has a mission for us to complete. I know we do not understand God's purpose for taking our loved one home, but we need to trust Him as never before. His plans for His children is perfect. We must trust Him. I love you and will continue to pray for you well being, brother.

Darrell, I just found out today that Sue moved to Heaven. We talked often but I did not know that she was sick, not once did she ever say or complain. I am so sorry for your loss but I know that those that knew Sue are better people because she loved others. I will surely miss Sue. Ron and I will be praying for you and your family...May God fill your home with HIS PEACE during this time...
