William Williams Obituary
'BILL' WILLIAMS
LAKELAND-William F. 'Bill' Williams, 72, passed away suddenly November 13, 2018 at his home. Bill was born in West Virginia in 1946 and moved to Tampa, FL with his family in 1957.
After graduating from Plant High School and earning a degree from University of Tampa, he entered the medical field as a radiology specialist.
Upon his retirement from the medical field, he fulfilled a lifelong ambition by opening a restaurant, Bill's On Drane Field, in Lakeland, FL. After leaving the restaurant business, his airplane and antique car hobbies became his full-time passion. He was active in the Sun N Fun Fly-In and Expo for forty years and was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, Thorp Aircraft Mutual Aid Society, The Antique Car Club of America, The Nash Car Club of America, and the Model 'A' Restorers Club.
Bill is survived by his wife, Debra Williams, mother; Bernice Schultz (Atlanta, GA); son Douglas Williams; daughter Jessica (Jason) Maslyn; grandson Hayden Williams; granddaughters Alayna Kosmicki and Ashlyn Kosmicki, and brother Jeff (Sandra) Williams (Atlanta, GA).
A celebration of Bill's life will be held at a later date.
Contributions in Bill Williams' name may be made to The Lakeland Aero Club at Sun N Fun.
