Roger Pendergrass Obituary
Born on April 4, 1941, in Durham County, he was the son of the late Norman Roger Pendergrass and Frances Cates.
Roger proudly served in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1962, and he retired as a paint supervisor from John Umstead Hospital after twenty-five years of service. He had a passion for woodworking, boating, fishing, and working in the yard.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Creedmoor. Rev. David Herman will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Eason (Perry) and Patricia Dennis (Denny); one granddaughter, Shanon Blair Dennis; one grandson, John Michael Eason (Aysia); one great granddaughter, Alexis Overton; one great grandson on the way, Ellis Glenn Eason and two sisters, Brenda Tapp (Tommy) and Linda Lilly (Tommy). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Kay Pendergrass.
The family will receive friends Monday, November 17, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home of Creedmoor.
