Evelyn Dunham Obituary
A golfer, gifted dancer, traveler, and spirited card player, Evelyn cherished those activities as ways to spend quality time with her family and friends. These activities brought her joy and allowed her to form lasting bonds with those around her.
Evelyn dedicated many years to her career as a realtor at Anderson Realty in Manhattan, Kansas. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Manhattan, contributing to her community through faith and fellowship.
Evelyn is survived by her loving husband, James "Dick" Dunham; daughter, Laura Engels(Gale); son, Doug Dunham(Susan); grandchildren, Josh Engels, Ashley Lierz, Lindsey Peth, Tim Dunham, Ryan Engels, Michael Dunham; and four great-grandchildren. Her family will remember her as a pillar of strength and love.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Evelyn's memory can be made to the Flint Hills Breadbasket. Donations can be made through their website at https://www.flinthillsbreadbasket.org/.
Evelyn's life was marked by her kindness, dedication, and the deep connections she made with those around her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her loved ones and all who knew her.
Visitation will be at Countryside Funeral Home 101 N Highland Ave, Chanute, KS 66720 from 5-7pm on Friday July 19th.
Service will be held at Stark United Methodist Church 117 E Main St, Stark, KS 66775 at 10am on Saturday July 20th, with burial immediately following at East Hill Cemetery in Erie, Kansas. Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home of Chanute, Kansas.

Dick and family.. I just learned of the passing of your beloved Evelyn.. I am deeply grieved to hear this.. Eldon and I had some wonderful times with you all..some of my best times were when we would meet at the American Legion in Manhattan almost every weekend . My deepest sympathies goes out to you and all your family.. it is such a shock.... Sending my love and prayers .

We will surely miss Evelyn. She was always so fun to be around. She was gracious and kind to us and made is feel part of the dairy group. We pray that your heart will be comforted and blessed with many wonderful memories.
