Antonio Silva Obituary
Rev. Antonio G. Silva, Jr. passed away May 17, 2010 at the age of 67. He was born Dec 12, 1942 in Mission, TX.
Survived by wife Mary O. Silva, sons: Tony Silva and wife Karla, and David Silva and wife Toni. Grandsons: Daniel, Caleb and Matthew Silva and granddaughter, Hannah E. Silva. Brothers, Ruben Silva and wife Raquel from Mission, TX and Richard Silva and wife Irene from Houston, TX. Sisters, Mariaelena Champion and husband Robert and Hilda Escobar from McAllen, TX. Numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Rosalina F. Silva of Mission, TX and sister, Rosalinda Flores from San Diego, CA. Brothers in law: Andres Olivas and wife Christina of El Paso, and Daniel Olivas and wife Hilda of San Antonio.
Graduated from Mission High School, attended Texas Western College UTEP and graduated from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. He was a clergy member of the Rio Grande Conference of the United Methodist Church. He served churches in Bryan, TX, and San Marcos, TX for several years. He had a strong commitment to youth ministry. A family man who loved his children and grandchildren his joy was to see them grow up and was very proud and close to them.
Funeral services will be held at La Trinidad United Methodist Church, 300 San Fernando on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 7 p.m. and Service of Celebration of his life, on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 9 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Garcia officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rio Grande Conference Clergy Spouses Association.

First of all my condolences goes to all the Silva Family.
I am very sorry I was not able to attend Tony'Funeral. I just wanted to let you know that Tony friendship goes a long ways. I always like be around him cause he was always fun being around him. I wish I could tell you some of the stories that we had together but it would be a book. I want you to know that our friendship will always be in my heart and all that we did is now good memories. May God Bless all of you . Thank you and will miss Tony.
