CRYSTAL ORTIZ Obituary
MISSION - Crystal Leeanne Ortiz, 19, passed away May 7, 2012 in Edinburg, Texas.
She is survived by her husband Luis Alberto Rodriguez; parents Nora E. Garcia and Benito Ortiz; her step dad Alex Garcia; her brothers Fernando "Venado" Ortiz, Miguel Angel Garza and Benito Ortiz; her sister Marily Ortiz; sister-in-law Belinda Cruz. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Christian E. Ortiz, Alma, Lazaro and Eric Hernandez; her grandparents Rogelio and Juanita; 2nd parents Luis and Maribel Melendez; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and a lot of close friends.
Visitation was held May 8, 2012 at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral service was held yesterday, May 9, 2012 at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Interment followed at Lord and I Cemetery in Palmview. Services were under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of Mission.

My dearest and most beautiful Crystal, I was so sad to hear of your passing. My thoughts go back to when you were my student in 5th grade at Arturo Cantu and how you touched my life with your sweetness everyday. I'm so sorry, I couldn't be with you at this time to say , "Goodbye" but I will pray for you always and remember you so fondly as the most beautiful girl with the big, brown eyes. You were very special to me.

My deepest condolences for the loss of your beloved daughter. I was a substitute teacher at Cantu Elementary and we also lived at Aloha village for a short time. My daughter Jessica Vargas, was a friend of Crystal at that time. We will be praying for your family's pain and for beautiful Crystal's journey into heaven. She was beautiful inside as well as outside, as far as I can remember.God bless you, all.
