Dora Guerra Obituary

McAllen - Dora Diana Guerra went to her heavenly home on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones after a 23 month courageous battle with cancer.

Diana was born on March 13, 1958 to Irma and Gilberto Ramirez in San Juan, TX. She was a loving sister to her 10 siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents Irma and Gilberto Ramirez and sister Benita Salazar.

Diana is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Federico Guerra and 5 children: Lisa Marie Williquette (Brent), Olivia Michelle Pruneda (Guadalupe) Yvette Krystal Jalomo (Roy), Aaron Daniel Guerra (Karina), and Selena Lissette Guerra; 7 grandchildren: Noah, Jaylen, Elijah, Clarissa, Hailey, Ezrah, and Ethaniel.

Diana was an extraordinary mother, wife, sister, and friend. She was always a very selfless and giving person who always put everyone's needs above her own. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ since 1987 and was the best grandmother. There was nothing she wouldn't do for her grandchildren. Her pan de polvo cookies were well known among family and friends, and she would never hesitate to make them for any social gathering.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, but we are comforted in knowing that she is resting in peace with her Lord.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday, January 31, 2022 with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd., McAllen.

I wish to extend my heartfelt sympathy to her husband, children, brothers, sisters and extended family. I wish I could accompany you, but, unfortunately; I have been diagnosed with covid. My love to all of you, rest assured that I send a warm hug across the miles. May God bless and comfort you in this sad, sad day.
Diana was a very special person. God has called His angel on earth home. She will no longer struggle and suffer in this life. I will miss her so much. She was more than a friend to me. We used to get together and share our joys and tears over coffee. She was not a complainer. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren very much. There was nothing that she wouldn't do for them.
When I left the Rio Grande Valley, I left hoping that one day I would be able to go back and visit with her one more time. Unfortunately I t was not possible. I pray tha we will meet again in heaven on the Lord's day.
We here on earth are sad., but she has gone to the Lord, and we should rejoice in the knowledge that she was a true and faithful christian.
