ELOIZA D. VELOQUIO WESLACO - Eloiza D. Veloquio, 71, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Veloquio was born September 25, 1940 to Guadalupe & Gumecinda De Leon in Brownsville, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paulino Veloquio; 1son; 1 daughter; 2 brothers; 1 daughter in law & friend, Jose Benavidez. She is survived by 1 son, Arnulfo Veloquio (Patricia) of Pryor, OK; 5 daughters, Lydia Martinez (Juan) of San Antonio, TX, Eloisa Galaviz (Pablo) of San Carlos, TX, Elida Garcia (Frank Treviño), Delia Hinojosa (Pedro) & Trinidad Veloquio all of Weslaco, TX; 4 brothers, Gonzalo De Leon of Florida, Reynaldo De Leon, Arturo De Leon both of Ohio, Ramon De Leon of Pleasanton & Celedonio De Leon of California. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren & 17 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. today, Thursday, August 16, 2012 & 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012 at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco – Chapel of The Angels with a 7:00 p.m. rosary both nights. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012 at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
