Francisco Salinas Obituary
Francisco was born on June 30, 1953, in McAllen, to Guadalupe Garcia Salinas and Guadalupe Gonzalez Salinas. He was a long-time resident of McAllen where he worked as a mechanic and ran an air condition repair business. He raised two children, Nery S. Alanis, and Francisco Salinas, Jr. He delighted in the company of his wife, Blanca A. Salinas.
Francisco enjoyed sipping his coffee at the quintessential Rex Café in downtown McAllen where he gathered with friends and savored life.
Francisco is preceded in death by his father, Guadalupe Gonzalez. Salinas, his mother, Guadalupe Garcia Salinas, his sister, San Juanita S. Gonzalez, and his brother, Tito Salinas. Francisco is survived by his children Nery and Francisco, Jr.,and his seven grandchildren. Also surviving Francisco are his brothers Arcadio Salinas, Jesus Salinas and Oscar Salinas and sisters, Connie S. Alanis, Olga S. Rodriguez, and Irma S. Chavez.
Viewing will be today Friday, February 19, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hawkins Funeral Home in Weslaco will coordinate the services.
