George Jumbeck Obituary

McAllen, TX - George Isadore Jumbeck, 84, of Alamo, Texas passed away on September 1, 2017, at Rio Grande Regional Center, after a short battle with cancer.

The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Resurrection Catholic Church Chapel at 312 N. 9th St., Alamo, Texas 78516 The mass will begin at 10:00 am,Thursday September 7th, 2017. Pastor Rev. Jose Rene Angel JCL will be officiating.

George was born in Winona, Minnesota on January 1, 1933. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his service to the Army, he used the GI Bill to attend Milwaukee School of Engineering, and received a Bachelor of Science degree.

George was married to Regina Mary Hardy on October 25,1958; they were married 52 years.

George worked as an engineer for IBM for 30 years. He enjoyed travelling across the U.S. and Europe, sailing and camping. He was also actively involved in Knights of Columbus.

George is survived by his brother Frank Jumbeck, his daughter Helen Hayter, her husband Phillip Hayter, daughter-in-law Michelle Jumbeck, and grandchildren William, Kevin and Angela Jumbeck.

George is preceded in death by his wife Regina Jumbeck and son William S. Jumbeck.
