Gilbert Boenig

1945 - 2025

Georgetown, Texas - Gilbert E. Boenig, Jr. died peacefully at home with his family on November 19, 2025. He was born April 7, 1945, to Mary and Gilbert Boenig of Woodsboro, TX. After graduating from Woodsboro High School, he earned a BS in Pharmacy from The University of Texas at Austin in 1968. In 1986, he became general manager and President of Medico, Inc., of McAllen, and later gained full ownership. He retired in 2013, relocating to Georgetown with his wife Connie. He was a eucharistic minister, lector, and counselor to engaged couples through Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Gilbert is survived by his wife of 55 years Connie Pollard Boenig; daughters Cheryl Boenig (Mark Lindo) and Teresa Boenig (Ray Cabreira); sisters Barbara Harp and Pat McCoulskey, brother Larry Boenig (Linda Boenig); and grandson Tyler Lindo. The viewing and Rosary will be held at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown on December 2 at 6 pm. A funeral mass will be said December 3 at 10 am at St. Helen Catholic Church in Georgetown.
